Hing Wong, AICP

CPF Treasurer  (Term of Office – 1/1/06 – 12/31/09)

Hing Wong is a senior regional planner with the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) which represents nine counties and 101 cities.  He is a demographer and produces projections for the San Francisco Bay Area while working on regional and subregional issues.

Hing has taught urban planning courses in quantitative methodology at San Jose State University.  He received his Master in Urban and Regional Planning at San Jose State University and completed his undergraduate studies in Urban/Economic Geography at U.C. Berkeley.

Hing presently serves on the Board of the California Planning Foundation.  He is also APA California Vice President for Administration.  He is a member of the American Planning Association, the American Institute of Certified Planners, and the Bay Area Automated Mapping Association.

Hing is a native Californian and currently lives in San Ramon.  He is active in his community and served on the San Ramon General Plan Review Commission.  When not involved with planning issues, he also enjoys traveling.
