About CPF | Board of Directors | Strategic Plan | Financial Status
CPF is governed by a ten member Board of Directors. The members of the APA California elect eight members to four-year terms. The APA California Vice President of Professional Development and the APA California Student Representative also are CPF Board members. The CPF Board elects the officers of the Foundation. The President of CPF also serves as a member of the APA California ’s Board of Directors. The CPF Board is responsible for setting the annual budget of the Foundation, developing the annual professional development programs, and selecting the recipients of the Foundation’s annual statewide scholarships.
The CPF budget typically allocates 15 percent of its expenses to administrative costs. The CPF Board seeks to increase the Foundation’s endowment as scholarships are awarded only from donations, fundraisers, interest income, and workshop revenue.
